Um I am tanisha I'm the founder of christian entrepreneur organization and it is stationary and resources for christian women in business. Um I have been growing the brand for about 3 years now but I just decided to take a leap earlier this year into launching our First. Products. So I'm excited to see where that's gonna go. But yeah, my passion is just helping christian women pursue the the you know the gifts and the talents that god has given them. So yeah, that's what I do.

Love that love that so much. Okay, then let's just kind of can we talk about entrepreneurship for a minute because um, because once 1 person once described me as a serial entrepreneur and you know I'm okay with that. But entrepreneurship is so hard.

It is just over the top hard and especially um, you know I'm a multi-passionate and so I love all of the things like I just want to do everything and so I would love to hear just a little bit about like your journey and and just like what that looked like just walking. Yeah, so just like you I am a multi-passionate person and I think we're kind of taught early on that. That's a bad thing because it's like you know you got to find something and stick with it and that's I've learned over the last year or so that that's not necessarily the case that being a multi-passionate person.

Is actually a gift It's something that you should be excited about because there are you know, multiple layers to you and there's so much that you can do with the things that god has given you so again I'm a multi-passionate person and I found that what helped me stick with this brand as you said is I decided on what impact. I want it to make first and who I want it to impact and then everything else from there I always point it back to my brand. So for an example, um I absolutely love again. Encouraging christian women to pursue their purpose to build businesses that god has put on their heart. Um, and so that's my passion. that's that's what I I believe that I was put here to do um but I am also passionate about like stationery I'm passionate about teaching I am passionate about um, writing which is why you see the Instagram quotes all the time I send out emails. So I have tied everything back into my purpose. And so now I get a chance to be that multi-passionate person but it's all tapping into what I think is my purpose. So yeah.

I Really do appreciate you sharing that and then so what did that look like just continuing I mean I'm guessing like you did you ever have a moment that you were like okay no, this is too hard I'm not doing this anymore.

Yeah I've had those moments and sometimes um, truthfully I still have those moments because it is hard but 1 of the things that I always share with the women in my community is that it is supposed to be hard. This is something that you've never done before. So Why do you expect it to be easy. Have you ever built a multimillion dollar business. No Do you know anyone who has built a multimillion dollar business. No Do you know anyone who owns a stationary brand. No. Do you know you know so I asked myself all these questions and I'm like you've never done this before and you don't know anyone who's done it. That you have access to so it's going to be hard because you're just starting out and you have to figure these things Out. You have to do the research you have to pull the long hours at night sometimes and 1 of the things that I tell myself too is that because it is hard work right now doesn't mean that this is what it's always going to be.

So You know I don't enjoy sometimes staying up late at night but I have to make sure I have my email set up or my launch strategies in place before I Launch A new product. So I just have to make sure that I'm aware that everything has a season and so some seasons I am like you know I am knee deep in the hustle. And the grind and then there are seasons like right now. Everything is kind of launched and I'm caught up on everything and so this is like a season for me to like rest and you know research things when I have time but I think everything is a season and if we kind of break it up like that I think that that is what will really help us with that. Feeling of overwhelm you know of feeling like oh my gosh I have to do everything right now because you don't have to do that.

So and a lot of people don't know this's about me I still have a full-time job and it's a remote job. So I've been here. Yeah, the work too so people are like how are you doing this so and that's again I just have to realize that some seasons are just gonna be those tough seasons and I tell my husband like. Hey we're going into a busy season I need some extra backup right now. Um, and I also have a fourteen month old and a 6 year old so I am like busy, busy busy but I find time to just because I I truly believe that this is my purpose and I've been in a place before where I did not know what my purpose was.

And it was such like a heavy feeling. Um because I was just I felt like I was so lost like I did not know what I was here to do um I didn't know where to start I just didn't know anything and so now that I know this I take advantage of that like I really take advantage of my time and I make sure that I am maximizing it. Um, and showing up when I can now I'm not overworking myself to the point of burnout but I know that you know what hey you if you spent thirty minutes scrolling on Instagram laughing at memes you can spend thirty minutes trying to research people to get you intoale stores or you can spend an extra thirty minutes you know contacting someone to learn about their course or something. Yeah yep, and he does a great job at it when I was launching the affirmation cards that was the very first product I launched and so I literally had no idea how to do anything I didn't know how to find a vendor. Um, how to create the graphics for I didn't know anything and I was just like. I was literally staying up until like 3 or four in the morning I was not coming to bed at all and I was like I promise once I get this launched it will change. It'll go back to normal and so again after I launched everything I was like ah and you know each season gets ah each launch gets a little bit easier for me.

But like you said earlier there is is that kind of hurt when you don't know what your purpose is you know and you're kind of wandering lost. Um, and so it's like once you find it like hey you got to go after that thing you have to pursue it. You know, especially if that's the thing that God has put on your heart and So. Ah, just love the perspective that you've you've shared of just like yes you can do it. You know and and Tanisha I Want to hear about you know God's perfect timing like how can we really just trust in God's perfect timing.

Yeah I think that you know god's timing I think we all know this is not our own timing. Um, and you know as much as we want it to be It's just not and I think about like where this brand is now and again I started this brand with zero followers zero. There was nothing like my first post. Was to myself. There was no 1 listening. There was no 1 liking anything you know there if I got 2 likes I was like yes, somebody found my page so there was a lot of times where I was just like what is happening and I was saying the same stuff that I'm saying now it just was not the right timing. Um you know and I think.

Yeah I think that verse to me is like the first sign of so anyone who follows my brain will know that we are all about speaking positive affirmations and I think this is like the first sign for me that the bible talks about speaking positive words and speaking those things. Um, that are not as though they were and so I think this is a great example of how we you know our words hold power and we have to be careful of the things that we are saying you know are we saying every day you know this is too hard I can't do this I don't know how this is going to work like what are we speaking out of our mouth you know or are we saying positive things. This is going to work out for me I am going to grow this business I am going to fulfill my purpose I am going to use my gifts and talents I am going to attract the right community. You know that god wants me to serve like we just have to be really conscious of the things that we are putting out into the atmosphere and I think this scripture is just perfect. I absolutely love it. Um I share it several times throughout my emails if you're on my emails or text message list or the community on Instagram like I am always sharing this particular verse because I absolutely love it.

Um, and that god really does call us but then 2 just shining our light and not hiding it because god you know uses our stories just to change the world and so I would love to know how did your puzzle pieces lead you to where you are today.

Um, I think that my puzzle pieces kind of led me here because um I again I've been a multi-passionate person and I would try anything I I had an online thrift store before um I tried everything I tried to sell t-shirts before. And it all came together. Um, kind of when I just rely I just kind of relaxed and I said okay god I have been trying to do this on my own and I haven't taken time to listen to what you want for me and so I actually took an entire year off and the only thing I did was post. Content on social media of what god wanted me to do um, he did not allow me to sell anything so I was not able to sell nothing the entire year was just showing up and serving the community that he has blessed me with that was it and so. Eventually he kind of just was like all right? So you got the picture now. So now you're ready and that's kind of when he opened up the doors for me to start putting out products and things. So um, anybody that's trying to find their purpose I would stay still show up show up. If you can if you're not I don't want you to show up in a way that you are shutting god out but show up in a way where you're saying I'm here and I am available to serve and do what you want me to do and sometimes that means that you know you might not be selling anything sometimes that means you're just you know serving and you're just putting out content to. Um, bless the people who are connected to you so I really want people to think about that. Don't always think about you know what can I get from this. What can I make from this think about how you can serve the audience that god has called you to serve.

Yeah, um I have not always been that way I'll be completely honest when I first started this brand I posted a lot of like general um motivational content and so it was just kind of like hey girl you know you can do it but it wasn't really tied into scripture. Um, and again i've. You know I've always been in the church I've grew up in the church my mom's a pastor I've you know Ah, that's been who I am but I just never thought about posting that content and um, eventually I think I don't know what happened just 1 day I just posted. You know my random prayer that I had and that from there it was just like oh people. Enjoying this like this is what people want for me and so I kind of just took you know that and ran with it. But yeah, that's kind of how it all started for me. Um I just kind of I think we kind of see clues in our Everyday life. And so you can pick up on those clues and your your you know your audience will tell you and the people around you will tell you they'll kind of give you those clues of what they are needing from you. So yeah I would say do do what feels best for you? yes.
